RANDOM WORDS BOOKSTORE IS PERMANENTLY CLOSED

Random Words Bookstore is a small, family-owned independent bookstore in picturesque Gloucester county, Virginia. Owned by the husband and wife team of Kevin and Myra Moore, the store is nestled comfortably in the White Marsh Shopping Center, situated along the area’s main travel corridor.

Random Words carries new and used books of all genres, for all age groups, as well as a small number of collectibles, often but not exclusively book-themed gifts, and select pieces of local art.

Books always need a good home in which to feel loved and cared for, so Random Words is honored to help them find new families when the time comes for them to move on. We know that they’ve been a cherished friend to you while they were with you, and we respect and care for them as members of the family while they’re with us. We accept donations gratefully, and will buy certain items depending on condition and saleability.

Local authors enjoy a special place in our heart, as well as a place at our table- literally. Several local authors have their work on display, and book reading and signing events are regular occurrences.
